Kenneth Loo the National Team C-1 rower!

Today, we had training at Macritchie as usual and some french guy (who is the national team canoeing coach), saw Kenneth Loo rowing in his C-1 sampan boat and approached him to come for this sunday's time trial for national team selection. Being in canoeing for only half a year and rowing the c-1 for only 3-4 months, it is incredible that Kenneth has achieved so much in such a short time. He is an inspiration to the entire team and we have much to learn from him. Even though we all started training at the same time, he has improved by leaps and bounds and I feel that all this is not attributed to his talent alone...so now let's investigate what special qualities he possesses that has contributed to his success in the C-1.

1) He is short...even shorter than Justin Chiam! So he has low centre of gravity and increased stability!

2) He has never skipped or slacked any components of training before...which is MAN!

3) He comes down for morning trainings on his own...which is MAN!

4) He can run 9min flat for 2.4km...which is MAN!

5) He wears shades during training so he looks pro.

6) He does not eat fast food.

7) He does not take artificial supplements for muscle growth.

8) He is nice!

So the moral of the story is...we must be nice.
